Yes! Our membership allows you to access it at any time and work through each Module at your own pace. Bear in mind however that the optimum time to pitch to corporates is February/March for those companies who operate on a July/June Financial year (Australian companies), so your pace should be influenced by when you want to sign up a partner. It takes about 3 months to approach and sign up and then it can take 6-12 months to land and launch the partnership. This is a long term income generating strategy!

You have access for a whole year. We’ll send you a couple of reminders a few months out and if you’d like to renew for another year you can.

Yes. We recommend that you DO create a team to support you. Any colleagues that join your team can work with you on your Module outputs, the work that you produce. They are NOT able to access the BePartnerReady.com® online program or materials unless they are a paid-up student.

If you’re unclear about this, check in with us about what is appropriate. We want to protect our intellectual property from reaching people that do not understand the legal obligations that you and your organisation have entered into, as this could inadvertently lead to breach of contract.  What we don’t want to do is restrict your colleagues from contributing to the production of each output.

Yes. The ideal scenario is that the paid-up student does most of the work and then leads the pitching to corporate prospects at the conclusion. We do not recommend one person does the work and then another – ie the CEO – takes on the pitching. Whoever does the work ideally does the pitch, because they have all the knowledge to make the correct approach. We recommend that you create an internal Team so that you can delegate tasks & share knowledge. If you already have a team of people that are all tasked with securing corporate partnerships, it would be worth considering registering them all. See below for investment.

Anyone from around the world is welcome to participate in the program, as the process is fairly universal. However there are some vital elements of the program that are tailored for, and specific to, both Australia and New Zealand. We are currently tailoring the program for other markets and we’re looking to expand to the UK. 

Yes. We’ve enjoyed having kiwi students join the program, you’ll see from the Testimonials page some satisfied customers from across the Tasman. Two of the critical tools offered within the program that relate to market values  – the Brand Valuation tool (BaFF) and Assets Inventory Valuation tool (the Ph Formula) - have both been revised to reflect the New Zealand market.

Everyone works at a different pace, but we estimate a total of around 140-200 hours, including the pitching (and signing up!) process. That breaks down to roughly 20 hours a month over 7 months, or about one day a week.

That said, this estimate is based on building your strategy from scratch, using the full suite of tools and modules. If you're already doing some of this work and just want to sharpen your approach, it will likely take less time.

We're also seeing AI make a real dent in some of these hours, and we're actively finding ways to build AI into the program itself...stay tuned! 

This program is designed for someone that intends to implement - as well as secure – corporate partners, so someone that intends to stay within the organisation for at least a year.  We also highly recommend a colleague join you along the journey, you can register them for just $575+ GST per person. We know that life can be unpredictable so if you do register, and then for some reason you intend to leave, contact us immediately. We’ll discuss transferring your participation to a colleague. For students that do not communicate and simply leave, your participation will be cancelled, your login & password de-activated without a refund.

Sure does! The program is optimised for mobile use, but if you switch between phone and computer, you must let us know because your log in is attached to an IP address and it may look as through your login and password have been compromised.

Yes, you can go back as often as you like! Or in some cases skip Modules and move forward. Although we recommend working through the Modules in the order of 1-7 because the program has been designed so that each Module builds on the next, so it may be confusing for you if you jump forward.

We’ve seen students secure a partner at the first meeting and at other times it can take anywhere from 3-12 months! It depends on the kind of company. We explore this in the program and look at the different kinds of companies and which ones are slow-moving.  We provide numerous templates & techniques to help you get a partner across the line quickly – as well as move away from the time-wasting tyre-kickers.

Yes and No. First, this is not a fundraising program so there is no ‘ask’.  This program will help you shift your language to be more in line with corporate speak. Instead our approach is based on an invitation to partner, where there is an exchange of value.  In terms of your tangible assets and your intangible brand, we provide tools and formulas to enable you to place a dollar figure on these to help you prepare a compelling package and investment figure based on tangibles not guess work.

We don’t recommend it. If your organisation is unwilling to invest in your training or in the implementation of a corporate partnerships’ strategy, that indicates a lack of commitment, and it's unlikely they’ll support you in the ways you’ll need. In certain situations (such as a Founder wanting to pay for themselves), that is fine. 

Yes. On the surface sponsorship and partnership may appear to be similar – they both involve a corporate providing money & other benefits to a charity. The model of how they engage is quite different though. Sponsorship involves a company or brand investing directly into a program, event or campaign. So, in effect the funding is TIED to that. A partnership is more complex, multi-layered and therefore takes longer to secure. The great thing about the BePartnerReady.com® program is that it will help you identify things that are 'sponsorable’ and support you to package up a sponsorship proposal as well as pitch to potential partners with a compelling offer. It’s different so requires different Templates, but both are provided as part of the program.

Previous students have found that once they have completed Step 5: Partnership Model, they are able to quickly discern between genuine enquiries and tyre-kickers. You really don’t want to be organising a meeting with any corporate without having distinguished 3 key things, and we help you to prepare for that.

Yes. Most of our students prefer to spread the 200 hours across several months to avoid putting pressure on colleagues & Board members (who will need to approve your outputs). 

However if you prefer intensive focus you could realistically complete the program in 2 months (40 days). 

Occasionally a red score is incorrect (ie a question is misunderstood) so it’s best to jump on a call with us to discuss. Mostly however, a red score means your organisation is not ready which will thwart your success. Still, register for a confidential 1:1 call with us, so we can guide you further. Sometimes becoming organisationally ready is fairly easy, with time, and for some, it’s going to require some big cultural shifts. Know that we’ll be honest with you and we’ll discourage you from doing the program if you’re not ready, but at the end of the day it is your choice!

If you are a national organisation that shares the same brand/logo, it would make sense for you to pitch to national corporates on behalf of the national organisation (there are bigger pots of money there). If the national organisation is happy for you to lead the implementation and approach on behalf of the national organisation, that is fine. You can do it for just one State, but it all depends on your Readiness Q&A score.

The only costs you will need to allow for are related to pitch work: design (of a professional PowerPoint pitch deck if required), video production/editing of existing footage (ideal but not a deal-breaker) and travel (flights/accom) when you start pitching. You will also need to find about $300 for a compelling mailing item, although most charities have something that can be used already.
